Ingeborg Lundin joined Orrefors in 1947 and was the first female designer to do so. Together with Edvin Öhrström she worked on the Ariel technique and later became famous for her award winning "Äpple" Vase. In 1957 Orrefors had been exhibiting at the 1957 Triennale in Milano where Ingeborg Lundin would win Gold Prize for her Apple. It was the Äpple which helped define modern glass from sweden during the 50s.
